Is I’m A Celebrity On Tonight?

The celebrities had to be evacuated from the castle over the weekend due to damage to the set from the storm.

I’m A Celebrity contestants had to make a swift exit from Gwrych Castle on Friday night after Storm Arwen wreaked havoc. But good news, the show is back on tonight.

Due to “significant damage” being caused to the castle by the storm, the celebs had to be evacuated and no new shows have aired since Friday.

ITV has confirmed that I’m A Celebrity will start back up tonight (30th November) at the usual time of 9pm.

It comes after Richard Madeley had to leave the show due to a medical scare and Covid-19 restrictions meant he couldn’t be reunited with his campmates after he was given the all-clear from hospital.

I’m A Celebrity cancelled: what happened?

On Friday 26th November, the contestants had to be evacuated from the castle in north Wales as a “precautionary measure” after powerful winds from Storm Arwen damaged the set.

On Saturday, ITV explained that “technical difficulties” caused by the storm meant no new episodes would be aired for the rest of the weekend and that the celebs had been removed from the castle while they worked on getting things back up and running.

I'm A Celebrity was replaced by compilation shows (voiced by Ant & Dec) featuring best moments from previous series over the weekend.

A spokesperson for ITV said: "Production worked round the clock to get the site back up and running."

The storm affected most of Wales and left 30,000 homes without power over the weekend, reports say.

It's the second year running that the hit reality TV show has taken place in Wales. The show is usually produced in Australia in Springbrook National Park, New South Wales.
