There's a new Hooters restaurant in Liverpool and quite predictably, it's full of Scouse lasses singing in what sounds like American accents.

Yep, for those not clued into the American restaurant's newest outpost, we're here to fill you in.
So, Hooters opened in Liverpool yesterday (21 November) and has already become a sensation on TikTok — even if the popular fast food joint is getting backlash from the local council.
Diners were left shocked at the New Zealand House store as Scouse servers stopped mid-shift suddenly to serenade them with their very own rendition of AC/DC's 'You Shook Me All Night Long'.
Nope, we're not making this up, and people quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new joint, as one user wrote: "Thats tonight’s sleep paralysis dream sorted hahahaha why is that the most awkward thing iv ever seen."

While another added: "Am from Liverpool and I'd rather go too Maccies get a Big Mac large fries, and sit next to the window and talk to meself. Can't see this lasting tho it's to tacky."
One didn't see the business lasting long at all: "I’m saying within a month they’ll be about 3 of them staff doing that. Then after another 3 months the place will be a fancy Greggs."
To be fair, we do love a fancy Greggs.

A fourth said that they just wanted to eat in peace: "Na I can't have all that shouting while I'm out for dinner it's bad enough when seated next to screaming kids.... just let me eat it peace."
And it wasn't just users on social media that were hitting back at the new restaurant, as it turns out that the Liverpool Local Council isn't exactly thrilled either.
You see, the restaurant's request to display illuminated signs outside of their Liverpool store was rejected, as it's situated in a conservation area.
The report from the council read: "By virtue of size, design and siting, the proposed illuminated vertical signs, banner sign and flag would fail to preserve the character and appearance of the application building and Castle Street Conservation Area and the setting of the adjacent listed buildings."
Councillor Nick Small added: "The proposed signage, banner, flag, and canopy and its bright, gaudy orange colours are not within keeping of the character of the Castel Street Conservation Area and would detract from and undermine the unique heritage of the area."

However, when Hooters opened this past Monday, an illuminated sign could be seen outside of the storefront anyway, which given how much local councils freak out when you have an extra bin, it probably won't go down well.
