Frankie Muniz Reveals The Surprising Thing Bryan Cranston Does For Him

Frankie Muniz has revealed the surprising thing his former Malcolm in the Middle co-star Bryan Cranston has done for him since the show ended.

Frankie Muniz, 36, is best known for his starring role as Malcolm in the hit series while Bryan Cranston, 65, played his father.

When asked about Cranston on the Steve-O's Wild Ride! podcast, Muniz said: "No lie, he’s the greatest human being alive, as an actor, as a person.

"He would show up every single day, and you know when you do something every day you can get annoyed - never."

"He was so happy to be there and so great to the crew and so great to everyone so, in my head, he’s my idol."

Revealing the surprising thing Cranston still does for him, Muniz said: "Bryan reaches out to me every two weeks and he has for 15 years.

"Like literally, 'just checking on you, hope you’re well, what are you up to’."

As Steve-O as the rest of the crew laughs in shock, Muniz says Cranston is ‘literally a Hollywood god and he calls me’.

Hundreds of people took to the comments to praise Cranston.

One commented: "I remember thinking as a kid what a great actor Cranston was because of the diverse scenes he'd do as Malcolm's dad and how he genuinely felt like that character."

Another added: "I’ve always loved Bryan and I am not surprised by this behaviour. He is amazing!"

A third said: "'He checks on me every two weeks,' lmao dude he's your Dad forever."

On the same podcast, Muniz also cleared up reports suggesting he doesn't remember filming Malcolm in the Middle.

He said the misunderstanding came about after an episode of Dancing with the Stars, when the show was doing an episode called 'Most Memorable Year Night'.

Producers suggested 2001 was his most memorable year when he was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe for Malcolm in the Middle - all when he was aged 15.

Muniz said: "I go, ‘I don’t remember what I felt then.'

“It was me blowing off the fact that I can’t say that’s my favourite year because I can’t tell you what happened in 2001. You would have to tell me what happened in 2001."
