Susanna Reid has a tough job on Good Morning Britain, don't you think? It's not just the fact she has to get up at about 3am, but she also has to sit next to Piers Morgan day in, day out and smile while doing it.

This morning, Piers was having a little rant about people who talk politics on Facebook. He said he'd been forced to delete family members in the past, and he thinks the social media site should be a politics-free zone.

He added: "Please, I need some respite - can't you just put in a picture of your little kid having an ice cream or something or doing a cartwheel?"

"I know exactly how you feel."

The look on Piers' face as the penny dropped was perfect:

While Piers might have felt a bit put out, people at home loved it:

Ever the professional, Susanna went straight on to the next segment without pausing to give Piers a chance to bite back.

Well played.
