Eminem fans are flocking to social media in awe over two videos showing the rapper performing the same song nine years apart.

Eminem fans are flocking to social media in awe over two videos showing the rapper performing the same song nine years apart.

I often feel like the speed of my brain has decreased considerably in the space of a week, or even just a day, so imagine the deterioration that could occur across nine years.

However, Eminem - formally known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III - isn't known as the rap god for nothing.

Despite having previously said he may stop releasing music after hitting 50, two clips showing 'The Real Slim Shady' rapper performing the same song prove age clearly doesn't affect the rapper's ability to perform, and that even nine years apart, he's still got it.

Warning: It's rap and Eminem, so prepare for some swearing:

The clips - shared by TikTok account @eminemispro - show Eminem performing 2013 rap 'Rap God', spitting out 157 syllables in just 16.3 seconds (9.6 syllables per second) or 1,560 words into six minutes and four seconds.

In 2016, the song broke a Guinness World Record for 'Most words in a hit single,' and was ranked at number two on the '20 Hardest Songs to Rap' by Brian Clark.

The first clip shared on social media sees Eminem perform at the age of 40 in 2013, and the second video is recorded in 2022, when Eminem was 49 years old.

Both of Eminem's renditions of the rap match up perfectly, the then-49-year-old not missing a single beat in the 2022 video, despite having aged nearly a decade.

Nine years may have passed between the clips, but Eminem's rapping ability hasn't changed one bit.

Fans of the star have flooded to the post in adoration of Eminem's rapping.

One user said: "He is really the rap god!"

"I can not listen that fast. How does he not dislocate his tongue. No one will ever surpass him," a second added.

A third commented: "How has it been 10 years since this."

Fans of the rapper have flocked to the post in awe of his talent.

Others argued Eminem is actually even better in the clip from 2022.

"2022s version he way better! He got better with age," a user wrote.

Another commented: "I feel like he's better as he gets older. But still loved him from day one."

And a final resolved: "Singers lose their range over time. Rappers don't lose their flow. Clearly. Can't stop the best."

And 'Rap God' didn't even turn out to be Eminem's fastest performance either, with his 2020 single 'Godzilla' surpassing his record according to Genius, with the rapper packing in a mega 224 words - equaling a total of 330 syllables - in just 31 seconds (10.65 syllables per second or 7.23 words per second).
