Disney is keen on keeping the Indiana Jones story alive.
While Harrison Ford has confirmed the upcoming fifth film, which is due out next year, will be his final time playing the iconic character, it seems like the iconic archeologist will live on.
Variety reports that Disney and LucasFilm have been toying with the idea of turning the movies into television magic.

Sources who spoke to the news outlet revealed Disney is still looking for a writer to take on the potential project.
Sadly, that means we have no clue what the project could be about.
Sources would not confirm or deny to LADbible if the project would act as a prequel or as a spinoff to the iconic movie franchise.
However, Disney has found recent success in transitioning some Marvel projects into episodic TV content while still managing to tie them in with the superhero films.

Plus, with the recent success of the multiple Star Wars TV shows now on Disney, which share a LucasFilm connection just like Indiana Jones, there is more than enough precedent to believe that the globetrotting archaeologist could receive the same sort of treatment.
However, this wouldn't be the first time we've seen the character of Indiana Jones grace our TV sets.
Back in 1992, fans were lucky enough to enjoy a series called The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
It followed the adventures of Indiana Jones who was played by both Sean Patrick Flanery and Corey Carrier.

Hall played an elderly version of Indiana Jones, who appeared at the start and end of every episode, with Flanery taking on the role of the youngster archaeologist.
Fans have already shared their thoughts on social media, with many expressing concern that the franchise is being milked beyond belief.
One Twitter user said: "I absolutely love Indiana Jones but it shouldn’t be dragged out this much. Make five and leave it at that."
A second added: "Yeah, they are going to milk it for all they can like Star Wars."

A third joked: "I can't wait to see the one where he can't get into the tomb because it's inaccessible by wheelchair."
No matter what happens, Harrison Ford won't be involved in the potential television program.
The fifth film will be his last, with the actor telling fans in September: "This is it. I will not fall down for you again. But thank you so much."
Indiana Jones 5 is due to release on 30 June 2023.
