Salma Hayek proudly shows off her grey hairs at 56 years old

In an authentic moment shared on social media, Salma Hayek revealed to her followers an empowering selfie of her and her grey hairs.

“Here’s a tip to cover your white hair without dyeing it,” wrote the Mexican-American actress.

“Don’t wear your glasses on your hair.

"Bring on the wisdom.”

The post was accompanied by three photos Hayek had taken of herself in the car where she looked stunning with the natural lighting.

It led to load of people sending messages of support to the 56-year-old.

One said: “I can’t dye my hair. So this here makes me feel like I can rock my canas (grey hairs) without feeling bad.”

Another added: “Excuse me, my Queen. Those platinum glitter strands you detest are positive proof of your divine wisdom”.

A third wrote: “Thank you, Salma, I feel seen. Thank you for sharing.”

In a recent interview on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, Hayek also spoke about how she still hasn’t had any Botox.

Instead of getting the injections, Hayek revealed she instead chooses to meditate to keep herself looking youthful.

“I somehow developed this strange meditation that I keep evolving,” Hayek said.

“I can do it for hours because you don’t feel the time, and it’s so much fun because it’s not like you sit there and you think of nothing. It’s an actual feeling in the energy and it moves and it dances inside of you.”

The actor, who has starred in everything from Frida, Grown Ups, and Eternals, also recently opened up to Glamour earlier in the year about getting older.

“I was also told that, as an actress, you kind of stop working around 30. Imagine? I did really feel it at the time, and it’s unfair,” she said.

“I don’t feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength. I do have to say that I have found it beautiful, getting older with someone.”

This isn’t even the first time Hayek has embraced her greys, with the actress posting a similar close-up of her hair back in June.

“Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” read the post.

Here’s hoping she continues to empower others to feel comfortable in their own skin.
