Dwayne Johnson has seen his controversial museum waxwork and isn’t happy

Dwayne Johnson has seen his controversial museum waxwork and isn’t happy

The Grevin Museum in Paris has responded to his request.

Waxworks are hit and miss these days.

There are some that are genuinely the spitting image of the star they're meant to be, and others look a little...different.

People were taken aback when the Grevin Museum in Paris unveiled its replica of Dwayne Johnson.

The waxwork showed the actor standing with his arms crossed and dressed in a blue collared t-shirt and navy pants.

Some thought the clothing choice was odd considering he's usually in loose-fitting gym gear or an outfit from one of his movies.

They couldn't quite put their finger on it, but they said something was off about the waxwork.

"Not one of your best guys - considering the quality of the rest of the museum, there’s something not right about the sculpt on this," said one person on Instagram.

Another added: "Is it a little pale or is it the lighting?"

A third wrote: "It doesn't look like him at all!"

Some pointed to the skin tone, whereas others thought it resembled Channing Tatum or Vin Diesel more than The Rock.

Well, Johnson has revealed he has seen all the comments about the sculpture and he's not happy.

"For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at 'updating' my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color," he said on Instagram.

"And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself."

The museum in Paris has more than 200 waxworks of famous celebrities and they're usually very on the money with the likeness.

However, even they have admitted they can do better with The Rock's figure.

The museum said in a statement to Deadline: “Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed.

"We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grevin Wax Museum to celebrate that with a cup of champagne.”

The Daily Mail says The Rock was selected out of an impressive list of celebrities for the museum's next waxwork.

He beat out the likes of Ariana Grande, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Elon Musk, Selena Gomez, Chris Pratt and Margot Robbie.
