Having to start a conversation with the higher ups at your company with the words, 'firstly, please don't fire me', strongly suggests you might have just made a career derailing mistake.
But if you've accidentally ended up calling a celebrity 'fatty', it's probably the only way to kick off your confession.
A clip of an Australian radio producer admitting to her monumental - and amusing - mistake live on air has been going viral in recent days as it has left people in stitches.

A red-faced Megan Smith explained she made a right pig's ear of it while trying to book a guest for a celebrity segment on the Jonesy & Amanda breakfast show, which airs on Sydney's 101.7 WSFM each weekday morning.
She told hosts Brendan 'Jonesy' Jones and Amanda Keller that she had been keen to get someone 'really good' to agree to be their 'Mystery Footy Tipper' and discuss sports predictions in the hopes that they could start off the year on a high.

The radio producer, from New South Wales, explained she had tried to get in contact with former rugby player and sports commentator Paul Vautin via text.
Her message read: "Hi Paul, it's producer Megan from the Jonesy and Amanda Breakfast Show.
"I was wondering if you were free this Thursday, because we would love for you to come on the show and kick off our first segment for the year of 'Mystery Footy Tipper'.
"Let me know your thoughts and call me if you have any questions. Thanks, Megan."
Megan had even added a smiley face to the end of her text, while Jonesy and Amanda described it as 'very nicely done'.

So you can imagine the poor woman's shock when she received a reply querying how she had got their number before requesting that she deletes it from her contact list, while it went on to add: "Also Meghan, it's not Paul."
Megan told the hosts that she thought the cold response meant that the commentator didn't want her to address him by his first name and that he was 'offended' by it, as he is better known by his nickname 'Fatty Vautin'.
This thought process was backed up by the fact that she 'doesn't really know' figures in the National Rugby League and had never conversed with Paul before.
Megan continued: "I replied, 'My apologies Fatty, I thought it was polite to use your first name'.

"Then they replied, 'WTF? Your job is to call people fatty? This is going downhill very fast'. And I was like, oh my gosh, I've text the wrong person. So I'm like, 'Oh my God, who have I texted?'"
A short time later, a senior digital producer from the Jonesy & Amanda breakfast show received a disgruntled message from another celebrity complaining about the bizarre text exchange.
It turns out Australian actor Rachel Griffith - best known for her role alongside Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding, her part in Mel Gibson's war drama Hacksaw Ridge and her portrayal of Innie in Anyone But You - was on the receiving end.

The 55-year-old star told the senior producer she had received a 'weird, cold text' before being called 'fatty', and you can understand how she got the wrong end of the stick.
Social media users described the mix-up as 'priceless' and 'comedy gold', with one saying: "This is hilarious!"
Another added: "The producers losing it in the background are the best."
A third wrote: "This is actually GOLD!"
And someone else dubbed it the 'best texting stuff up ever'.
