We already know 'sploshing' is taking social media by storm, the 7-7-7 method is helping couples reconnect, and getting 'zombied' has somehow overtaken ghosting - but the term 'auto-erect' might not be in your vocabulary just yet.
That's not to say other people aren't all over it already though, as a lot of people looking for love on dating apps seem to think it's their ticket to a happily ever after.
But seeing as though it involves relying on artificial intelligence (AI), the jury's still out on whether it's a step too far for some singletons who prefer not to hide behind an online persona.

According to Ashley Madison, the notorious online dating service which somewhat encourages extra-martial affairs, auto-erect is currently taking the dating world by storm.
It's down as one to watch in their 'Discreet Dictionary' - which is essentially a catalogue of emerging dating trends produced annually - even if it seems to take all the fun, and authenticity, out of getting to know someone new.
The term auto-erect refers to a person using ChatGPT during a sexting session, which we all really should have saw coming given how integrated the chatbot has become in our everyday lives.
But if you ask me, depending on a robot for your dirty talk isn't exactly a turn on...but for those who sometimes struggle to put how they feel into words, I can understand it might be a life saver.
It's just an in-person date you've got to worry about - as you can't exactly keep nipping to the loo to ask ChatGPT for more conversation starters that make you seem irresistible.

Luckily for those who want to make the most of what AI has to offer, a relationship expert has shared her top tips for bringing it into play while trying to woo someone on a dating app.

Dating coach Hayley Quinn revealed her golden rules which you should follow to make your auto-erect seem as natural as possible, which will hopefully score you a hot date.
First, the woman who likes to help play cupid explained that we all really ought to get used to the fact that AI is invading dating apps too - with a recent survey by Norton finding that 55 percent of Brits would use an AI tool to enhance their profile.

So, Hayley told The Mirror that we all should adopt a positive mindset towards it while moving with the times - and if you're really brave, you could even give it a whirl yourself.
She explained AI tools such as ChatGPT can really help spice up your dating app profile to make you stand out more among a sea of people - rework your bio, add in a few buzz words the chatbot recommends and Bob's your uncle.
Let's not forget, a good writer is also really attractive (says the journalist), so it could really make a big difference.
But Hayley warned people not to go overboard, especially when it comes to sprucing up your selfies.

The dating expert explained that you shouldn't put on a false front about your appearance, as it will end up biting you in the backside later on down the line when your love interest realises you aren't who you said you were.
On the back of that, she also suggests you should make sure your ChatGPT chat up lines actually sound like you.
"While AI can churn out flawlessly composed messages, they might lack authenticity or fail to hit the right note in terms of style and tone," she said.
"Aim for a messaging style that is brief (1-2 lines maximum), casual and tailored to the recipient."

But remember you don't need to rely on AI to come up with a witty answer to every question - you need to still put your true self out there just a little bit.
If your auto-erect attempt at looking for love seems to be going too well, Hayley also warned people that a 'massive backlog of matches' is just as bad as not having any.
She says that 'focusing on fewer matches will aid you in making clearer decisions about who you fancy and avoid the mental overload often associated with online dating'.
Although AI might make replying to loads of different people seem simple, the dating coach said you should prioritise the people who you actually feel a genuine connection with.
Hayley explained: "There are simple steps that can help you do this such as having a rule where you only ask questions you're genuinely curious about (no more 'How's your weekend going?'); giving yourself permission to express how you feel in the moment ('That made me laugh!'); and sharing information about who you are more freely, ('I don't believe it's Monday already, my inbox is scary!')."
Remember, you've got to keep this chemistry up in person too - so ChatGPT might help you bag the date, but it's you who they might fall in love with - not the robot.
